The ARTEX national fine art and antiques shipping transportation system is the largest in the United States. With more scheduled routes and more equipment than any other fine art carrier shipping company, ARTEX consistently delivers the type of service best suited to our clients needs. The ARTEX staff of driver/art handlers are the most experienced in the field. Many of our senior drivers have over 20 years of experience in the field of fine art and antique shipping and have been responsible for handling every type of fragile or sensitive object.
ARTEX Transportation Services include:
- Regularly scheduled shuttle service with published routes
- Exclusive use service anywhere in the U.S.
- Every truck fully climate controlled with air-ride suspension and lift gates.
- All trucks staffed with two drivers/art handlers capable of any type of wrapping, crating / packing , installation or de-installation
- All trucks tracked with integrated GPS system 24 hours a day
- All tractor trailers “high cube” with 121” rear doors
- Four door straight trucks designed for courier comfort
Shuttle
The ARTEX shuttle system provides a safe and inexpensive method of transporting all manner of artwork and antiques. ARTEX trucks travel around the United States on scheduled routes on a regular basis making pick ups and drop offs along the way. Shipments are scheduled for a specific week in order to make this service as economical as possible
Exclusive Use
ARTEX provides Exclusive Use service with all of our trucks on both a local and a national basis. When our clients purchase Exclusive Use service for their fine art or antiques shipping they have complete control of the scheduling and routing of a single truck, or multiple trucks. These trucks could be tractor trailers traveling across the country, or smaller “straight” trucks making shorter trips. We frequently travel with couriers on board our trucks, or in security follow cars, and have designed our trucks to accommodate museum staff.
Van Line Services
When ARTEX trucks are not available for a particular art shipment we will, with our clients permission, contract with certain specialized carriers to provide service. ARTEX only works with those carriers that have proven to be capable of providing the highest quality service, and ARTEX works closely with them to monitor each shipment.
Air Freight
ARTEX is able to crate and air freight your fine art shipments to anywhere in the world. As an alternative to trucking air freight can be economical and frequently faster than trucking. ARTEX can help you assess whether or not the fine art or antiques shipment you are considering is appropriate for air freight and handle the shipment every step of the way.
International
ARTEX is frequently called upon to organize international fine art shipping. We are readily equipped to arrange all manner of international shipments through a variety of trusted third-party companies with whom we have close and long lasting relationships. Regardless of the shipment location, ARTEX can arrange for your artwork to arrive in a safe, timely manner.
